Another Go - Same place
Setting the Scene
After the experiments 2 weeks ago, the rods came up in conversation the following week so I brought some rods in with me again.Recalling the ground
Though no plans can be found, I believe there to be at least 4 old abandoned pipes running through this section of bramble strewn woodland. The estate has changed many times over 200 years and buildings and services have come and gone with no trace.
Working out in either direction from a wall which runs South to North through the wood, I had previously experienced apparent rod crosses at three points to East and one to West.
East
Using the same references to people as in the last post.
Subject 4 (J) walked over the same ground as the previous post and identified apparent rod crosses at two points, which both coincided with points of interest (POI) from the previous post; However, another point was not identified.
Subject 2 (H) had similar results with at least 2 coincidental points reacting.
Subject 3 (M) had manufactured their own rods; A set using lighter weight welding rods and a set of mild steel heavy rods held in sections of plastic pipe. (M) had similar result to the others in identifying 2-3 points of interest.
Looking at the results so far, there was a consistent focus on three points of interest and, though there was a spread of 1 metre or so either side, the spread across the woodland floor was remarkably focused. The nearest the POI had seemed to generate two crosses within a short distance for some whilst just one for others.
Subject 6 (A) had not previously tried and was beyond skeptical to the point of definite disbelief but nevertheless was willing to give it a try. In the event (A) experienced no identifiable reaction.
An observation which may or may not be relevant is: (A) was heavily focused on how the rods swung about whilst trying to establish a relaxed level hold. Those of us experiencing results seem to be more casual.
I have already concluded that some people seem to react whereas others don't but this has definitely not correlated with belief. I have also seen individual people seeming to get a response in one location but not another.
My turn
I walked out with my 4mm welding rods and experienced strong rod crosses at three locations; all continuing the pattern above.
I then tried again using (M)'s lightweight welding rods and found much more defined responses including, for the first time, two distinct crosses at the nearest POI.
I also tried the mild steel rods but found them very heavy and holding them in the plastic sleeves them swung violently in all directions. However, when under control, they did work.
West
Whilst I was having lunch one side of the wall (M) tried walking out West and came back saying that a cross had been experienced.
I asked whether the location had been marked it in a way that was only obvious to themselves which they had.
I walked out and the rods crossed at one point which (M) confirmed was where he had marked.
Now, I didn't know what the mark was; But, it was a rotten branch lying across the path which I could have interpreted as out of place? It is also the case that two weeks ago I had identified a point 20m to the South at a similar distance from the wall so did expect something in that range.
We asked (H) who had not seen our activities to walk the same route and the same area was indicated; all three identified POIs where within a metre of each other.
Identifying a Rod Cross
I mentioned earlier Subject (A) concentrating on hold to stop rods swinging about and my own experience with the mild steel rods in sleeves swinging randomly.
Simultaneous Movement
The common pattern for all of those who experienced rod crosses was that both rods move simultaneously inwards and then out again to forward; they never move outward in tandem.
The movement I describe as a rod cross is quite specific with both rods moving as a pair; Very different to the individual random movements which occur when arms are moved or hands tipped slightly.
